Black History : Should we continue identifying as African-American and Black?

I don't know if you're saying African is also our heritage or not, but it sounds like you're saying it's not if you prefer the term African-American.
If that's the case, good look in expecting others to respect you, or not continue to kill you, on camera at that.
are you implying that a name change will stop racism?

No, not alone. But a strategy to go along with the correct name would be the best way to counter racism by establishing our own economic base through unity...which is the key. It's also important to choose the correct name for the correct reason, and the name I'm referring to is African which was stolen from us, or African Ancient Egyptian. Again, our identity was stolen for a reason. Our name actually determine our culture, religion, and the way we identify with God. That's how the white man made us Christians...by taking away our name. I'm not saying Christianity is wrong, but we must understand why that religion was given to us and how it's administered to us.

Of course we won't see change over night, nor did the Asians or any other group establish their economic base over night. But none of these groups would have gotten anywhere going under any name other than their original name, thus enabling unity, therefore reducing their chances off being racially victimized to the degree they could be oppressed, or to a degree they would destroy one another, or call each other chinks or whatever. Identifying as African would be the perfect way to connect and unite with the rest of the Diaspora as our satellites, since we have the largest consumer base. Learning to trade and unite with our brothers and sisters here, the Diaspora, and Africa, could turn us away from consumers to producers, giving us that economic base we've been missing. Racism would be a thing of the past. But again, a name change alone will not change this, but it wouldn't hurt to use it as a start.
