on the number of threads any one member can put up in a day?
I don't think
there should be a cap per se, but if someone is out of control that/those individual(s) should be targeted. IMO.
In the Spirit of Sankofa and Real Truth!
Although the question should be entertained and I agree with hellogood’s position on it, you have selected the wrong Forum(Management, Rules & Violators), as opposed to Questions/Suggestions, under Community Support; and because of this, you may not receive the action deemed…As you already know, excessive posting is not a Rule violation...Peace In my brother friend, for real!
can somebody move the thread?
like a "contract"?
I could see a limit on content maybe...
I believe such threads on religion bashing, IR, should be limited...
I think that is what brought another popular "AFRO" American "CHAT"forum to become corrupted by too much conflict, when it had so much more potential...
but became disgusting to the point that the admin just up and left it be, and he was not heard of again from as far as I know...
he was a bit of an @ hole to begin with though, so...
There was no limit on threads started in forums outside the poetry area !
But I can see where you are coming from as of late i've seen where a few members
has seem to flood the front pages and maybe it's something we could look at but
right now to answer your question ........NO there is not a limit.
Brother James ... as $$RICH$$ said, there is no limit to the number of threads someone can start (outside of poetry), but i do remember a Member that was warned, and no doubt for a number of reasons, ultimately banned ... and they did this a lot ... starting threads with titles that spoke to what their primary interest was, flooding the home page with their stuff ... not letting other threads get a chance to even get viewed.
That's not good, and no doubt would be addressed on a case by case basis.
We don't usually make rules that the entire Family must abide by, just because one or two are taking advantage.
Instead, we'd deal with the Member causing the problem, being inconsiderate, flooding the forums, etc., and not put the burden on everyone.
If there was a reason to limit everyone, i guess we would, but one or two Members out of control does not justify putting a rule on everyone, in my opinion.
Hope this helps.
ii realize there is no limit. i ask if maybe there should be.
some members put up so many threads it gives me a headache.
