How do I find this answer and will it ever be truly mine
I walk on the shoulders wondering of my worth
Does the steps I take ever now become my own
Walking my path divine or transcribed

This be the thing that thunders in black minds
We want to say we do not speak English
That our cultural truths lay in another dimension
Yet when we say it…it is only heard in dozens
A pitter pat of should i stand on my square

    My deen does not translate
Six is only multiplied by eternity
Our children are born speaking our answers
That are lost betwixt our 9 to 5
    Channeled into hip hop
The generation gap of a new code

My square root is the language
So then steps never connects on the same sidewalk
The universe is the road we walk
So the shoulders are heard in Zion

When I was a child, I remember some adults used to say that the world is getting weaker and wiser. Your poem reminded me of that. We have the knowledge, but do we know how to bond and apply it. Yet another wonderful piece poetess.
