Sho nuff i'm da type of woman who likes to have fun,
At least i ain't no couch potato sittin at home,
Sho nuff I got a full amount of potential,
Dat don't mean i'm all that influential,
Sho nuff i'm independent and do my own things,
At least I can stand up and help others,
Sho nuff I stay in a neigborhood dats ghetto,
At least i sho luv 2 all my sistas and brothas,
If u got what it takes,
2 survive out in dis world,
Then u aight, we strong and open-minded,
We ain't tryin to waste our lives not livin happy,
Sho nuff, dis is god's country,
It's a black man's world,
God gave us dis opportunity,
2 live where we want,
2 eat where we wanna eat,
2 sleep where we wanna sleep,
2 dance where we wanna dance,
Dis is da way we survive,
We don't starve, we livin good lives,
Sho nuff dis country is again at war,
But we got luv 4 all our people,
And dats da way we show it,
I got's love 4 all da american citizens,
Sho nuff, i pray 2 god dat he keeps looking over us,
2 guide and protect us,
All we need is prayer,
Sho nuff, I wake up to a new day.
