good video. Technology like anything can be a good thing if used properly. I love youtube mainly, because I can view many documentaries, speeches, etc. that I would never have the opportunity to look at if not for the website. Then there are forums like these where we can reach out to one another all across the globe.........But there is an ugly side, and I am a believer in too much of anything can hurt you....especially when that "anything" can cripple critical thinking and self sufficiency. I currently don't have a computer at the house, but I usually browse on my down time or on breaks at school and work (which still amounts to a lot of hours). To be honest I kinda like not having a computer at my house, because it can be addictive and time consuming. I already have enough distractions with the TV (which is used mainly for sports).....I like to use that other time reading, resting, or talking to friends.
I agree.....
I have heard many parents say they limit their kids PC time as it's digital entertainment - when perhaps they should be more focussed on making their childrens online time more productive, learning/communicating on the digital highway, the way of the today and tomorrow. How it works, whats available out there, who is out there, and how they can work it as an enhacing tool, not only a mind numbing toy.
I agree.....
