She was the teardrop you shed
She was the butter on your bread
She was the soft place you laid your head
She was the one who loved you good or bad.
She was the sunshine that brightened your day.
She was the loneliness when you were far away.
She was the welcome with arms open wide.
She was the one who always praised you with real pride.
She was the one you chose to leave behind.
They never lied when they said love was blind...
    she
    never
    saw
    it
    coming

He was the hot coffee that started your day.
He was the strong arm that balanced your stumble.
He was the satisfaction when your tummy grumbled.
He was the clean up crew when that's the way the
    cookie crumbled.
He was the cool that made you still, when other's
    were doing you ill.
He was the Full moon that carried your passion like
    the rising tide.
He was the man standing by your side.
He was the crack that started deep in your heart
when he reneged on the part about....
You and he would never part!
He was the salt in your tears.
He was the sum of your fears.
He was all those wasted years...
He didn't know he left part of himself
    when
    he
    walked
    away...

    Awsome

scribe. especially the last part. when you put in time with a person and grow with them and leave, you do leave a piece of yourself.
