You can't keep a good woman down, she said,
She lied, he'd done it many times,
Kept her nestled in the deep cavaties
    Of his unpredictable, sporadic love
Where she'd find, that when she had it,
She was open, as wide as infinite possibilty
    Infused with the splendor
    Of his sustaining virility,
But when without it, there was vunerability,
She was open, but in a different way,
Open to the pain that enclosed her,
    Dramatically imposed on her
    A tragic sense of void

You can't keep a good woman down, she said,
Misleading those around her into thinking
    She was always rising
    Instead of sinking
    Into rapidly increasing despair,
Her smile, still there, but narrowing,
    Diminished by the presence
    Of a sometimes present
    Love
    That slowly
    Pulled her

You're exactly right, alot of "would be" good women let themselves be pulled down by anything (Fellas, if you're guilty, do hate, change)....

But anyway, thanks for the response, and I'm glad I provoked some thought.

    Much luv
