    She didn't always

She didn't always talk to herself
    Mumbling non sequitors
    Talking out of her head,
    my head, and yours
    She didn't always

She didn't always laugh at the sky
    Giving a hootin hollerin cry
    Cackling maniacally
Presenting a carnival to all who walk by
    She didn't always

    People say she's crazy
And maybe her reality isn't present like before
Could be this is just how she copes
Ever since she just couldn't take it any more
But she didn't always act this way

What was it, what was that final straw?
Was it becoming homeless, no address to call her own?
Or even before she lost her home, did she feel misunderstood?
Was she harshly ridiculed? Did she feel all alone?

At some point in her life, she was
just another sister, living day to day
she had a job, a social circle, a family
And somehow, that was all taken away
Or maybe she just misplaced it
    Hard to say

Gee, was she bubbly and talkative
    or reserved and shy?
Was she good with numbers, a bookworm, a writer,
a painter? What happened? Can't help but wonder, why...

    There's still hope for her
    Her sparkle hasn't yet died
With a shatterproof will she'll redeem herself
Regaining the essence she has hidden inside

Though I've only seen her once
I'm hoping next time I see her she'll be
An even better version of herself, than before
    blessed with peace and vitality
And upon seeing her next time
    I'll say...
No, she wasn't always this way
But thank God, she's this way
    Today...

Only she and God know the answer to that one rhymebad. Thank you for responding so.
Was it real from the get go? Another good question So'ja, and hopefully she can eventually lead the kind of life that she desires to live. Thank you brotha.

    In her I see...
    Somebody's good friend,
    Somebody's spouse,
    Somebody's mother,
    and without a doubt...
    :spinstar: Somebody's Child! :spinstar:

    You are so right,
    "She wasn't always"
    :spinstar:
    Awesomely warm and touching piece,
    If this piece cause
just one person to stop and
smile :SuN040: at a lost soul,
then a miracle will be starting

Queent, your flow back was wonderful and oh so true, a person such as this, has meant so much to so many, and in some ways still does. She could be any of us. Being more compassionate would be quite a miracle, yes. Thanks a million sis.

Thank you saying so 4Everluv, much appreciated.
You humble me Rich, thank you much.

    This is to you
I...did not know you were there
    But being that you were
    You must know why
    I am still here

No... I wasn't always this way
Maybe I just didn't let it show
    Maybe I was so worried
Or too far after what the WORLD was giving
And sometime God Himself has to let you know

And he reminds me you weren't always this way
    So does the devil
    Wanting me to return
Turn my back from this beauty

    I cant tell you all
    But I can explain life
    I can Lift My Hands
I can pray for the light
I can say why I'm this way

I laugh a the sky because it's amazing
I laugh at the sky because...
they tell me I am too
    I seem crazy because...
    I am my own bestfriend
At at the end of the day
We say we weren't always this way

    I still love the kids
I want them to find the greatness too
Because of the past I'm still able to relate to you
And speak of that past and run with the present
    Get down with the Boogie
    And Wave HOOO HHAAAY
Well ya' know...."I was not always this way"

Watzinaname It was there..... And that's why It's for you
