Black People : Sharpton Encourages Youth, Blacks to Vote...

If every Black person in America registered to vote and actually voted how would this change our situation for the better?
We could all vote but what does it matter if all Black people vote and its the same lame choices every time ex..democrat, republican, independent party, green party.
Were any of these parties designed for us and by us to address our issues both historical and current? I think not..
We keep repeating the same cycle over and over(mainly led by "self appointed" incompetent "leaders") by trusting in parties/groups that do not view us as important and whose main
purpose is to use us to imlpement/enhance their own agenda..
What can we do differently? Any suggestions?

Since the "system" ( for that matter whites in general) studies us(our behavior patterns, likes, dislikes, perceptions, mental health, actions, etc..) and also knows that the majority of Black people vote democrat why do we continue to vote like this? How about not voting? What about if every Black person decided to not vote? Meaning since Blacks are expected to vote a certain way in every election the politicians of any party have no respect for the "Black vote". But of course I'm not naive enough to think they would respect us in any situation..What do you think the implications would be if Black people constructively as a whole/collective decided to hold their vote?

@Rosetta you stated, "Every race has been approahed by white america to help whites rid the USA of our race"

Why would the whites want to get rid of "all" Black people, we buy everything.....

To vote or not to vote

Aqil,

First, please think about the reason black people stop voting.

The stuff is not helpful, especially for the presidental caniditate, you have to realize that the person running for president of the U.S.A is not a good person and is not a person that is willing to help us (Africans in America). You have to understand that when a person runs for president and has a good chance of winning they are 110% willing step into a SYSTEM of corruption, a murderous SYSTEM, a van gogh capitialistic SYSTEM, a mighty imperialist force. I don't care who becames/runs for president, it's a SYSTEM! Because as president of the U.S.A it is your duty to keep America running, and in order to do that, you must indulge yourself into a pit of corruption, destruction, and deception.

Think about how important the Prison Industrial Complex System(strongly hurts us, yet really helps the U.S.) is to the U.S. can the president truly and actually is going to stop that and hurt the country? Think about how important DRUG MONEY (hurts us, helps them) is in the U.S. No president will ever do anything about drugs (unless something can replace the funds it brings) it makes the U.S. way too much money, the whole stock market would crash and would take decades to recover, it would be worser than The Great Depression, if some one was to stop the DRUGS in the U.S.A. Think about how many neo-colonial states (Much of the Middle East, too much of Africa, most of Latin America, too much of Asia) the U.S.A must mantain/take/murder/rape in order to keep the U.S running properly. Think of how many corporations the pres. has to let ruin the Earth and it's people in order to keep the U.S. running. Think of the progranda, the slave labor, the injustices, the pres. has to sign to. Think about how many people he/she (it doesn't matter if it's man or woman) have to kill.

No pres. of the U.S.A can honestly think for himself, that is why 110% of the time the people running for pres. with a chance of winning, are the same people/companies/corporations on the outside of the pres. position who control American policies (the ones mention above and more). So your Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons and Bill Clintons and Hilirary Clintons and Democrats and all most of other people/pawns black people vote for are all willing to run this SYSTEM. A system that hurts us, yet helps them.

Voting on a national level such as for the president of the U.S.A is a waste of time.

Who are you going to vote for Aqil?

The system is fixed.

Lets say we tell black folks to vote in the current state we are in:

How many of them will make informed decisions about who to vote for and what to vote for?

Who would ride along with the trucks that carry the votes to be tallied to make sure there wasn't any corruption?

How and who will convince the majority of black folks who tend to blindly vote Democrat to consider voting outside of party lines?

Which candidate wouldn't play the political game?

Which candidate could afford to not play the political game without having their lives exterminated?

How many black folks at this point and time will move forward to enforce the carriers of our votes to act upon the platform they hooked us with?

This isn't pessimism this is reality, a fractured damaged people won't make advantageous political decisions that will positively effect us all.

As we move towards becoming a cohesive unit (ex. civil rights movement) by building from the ground up (namely community based building) we can collectively scrutinize our political situation, therefore performing actions good for the many rather than our current individual based practices.

One political action that would have to be immediate to get these large numbers you are talking about (assuming the powers that be would be so kind as to not rig the process) would be to change the laws about certain ex-felony offenders voting rights.

Well then you'd have to first address the large number of black folks going to jail on bogus charges or getting worse sentencing. Both of these issues could be resolved quicker and more effectively with direct action (ex. again the civil rights movement) than voting and waiting for red tape bureaucracy to take its course.

Remember another thing, the civil rights movement that brought about the changes for voting was a political action itself. The action and results of voting don't compare to the people taking things into their own hands and working together to cause change, which is a lot more effective than "the vote".

Upheaval is more powerful in this system than a ballot.

Al wouldn't be my pick for a "black" president, I'd go for someone like Randall Robinson.

Although whoever was picked would be assassinated or have to act as a pawn anyway.
