This divination scrying device is very simple and can be made with 3-4 copper rods, or 3-4 bamboo or wooden branches. It can tied together with electrical tape at the top. This can be used in the backyard or indoors. The energy should be very good before planting the device. The stones/rocks around the middle basin should be either magnetite or granite, obsidian can be used as well inside the basin. The basin can be made out of wood, copper or brass. A quartz crystal with a sharp point must be held in the center by a string. You can glue the string to the bottom of the crystal, the bottom should be flat. Copper wiring should be coiled around the crystal, it does not have to be tied around the string just around the crystal itself. Next you need to create dark water and pour it into the basin. This can be done by mixing very dark soil with water. It shouldn't be too muddy. The water should still flow like a liquid.

Thank ye for the link. After hearing wonderful things about magnets, I came to the conclusion that going back to lodestones was akin to downgrading; but I will get them and see how they measure up with this bowl as opposed to say, working with a Spirit.

I have to mentioned that scrying and automatic drawing are two very very effective methods for seeing into the unseen. It truly works! If you really want to get into some serious ritual work- learn at least one of them, or both.

Is there another suitable alternative to black soil?

With regards to the scrying bowl, can it act as a portal/gateway through which anyone/thing can come through? like a mirror can?

Also, if you were to rank in order of which is a more powerful method of tapping into the unkown, which way would you rank them please?
