    Shakespeare is ill
    Once again
The life of quick witted words
Flounder in the flutter of his eyes

    That booming voice
    Belittled by his illness
    Is quiet sad and soft
    Unlike his performances

    Shakespeare
    You can not leave me
I don't want to have to only imagine
    The sound of your laughter

    Rise up and be 'Hamlet'
Reenact the closing scene of 'Othello'
Do that strut like 'Curly' in Oklahoma
(Oh, that was so out of character, but wonderful)

    Fight for life/sing out loud
Believe the world still has a place
    For Shakespeare
    With stages and booming voices

    'Romeo o' Romeo...
    Where art thou Romeo...'
We are all here waiting for your entrance
    Shakespeare

Heaven isn't ready for you yet
    The stage is not built
    The actors are not assembled
And we - your audience - are all here

For someone to be Shakespeare for you, he must truly embody the spirit of poetry, and that says oh so much. Beautiful piece.
