I find myself staring at the wall
With eyes wide shut by the dark
And I see your smile dancing with
The shadows of the shining moon;

My vision is clouded by the blue of
The moon as it peeks through my shade
And beckons me to travel along its rays
Into a world of new found trust of love;

I wish to journey far along its axis
Allowing my senses to be entertained
By the fragrances of you capturing me
In its wake of innocence and truth;

Can I dance with you my dear when the
Days grow long and the sun sets before
The lights dim on your day as you open
The sunroof to see the stars smile back;

I wish to embrace your dreams within
The framework of my artistic hopes to
Paint a life of pleasure for my new found
Treasure is held safely within your ribs;

Your beauty keeps me smiling not from
The aspects of your outer shell but the
Intracies of your inner mind for the truth
Of my love originated in your spirit;

I find myself staring at the wall with eyes
wide shut by the dark and I see your smile
dancing with the shadows of the moon to
form an outline of you and I as one entity…
