In my youth, that is what they tell me
But I don't feel like it I feel like
I 've lived an entire lifetime
    in next to no time

I don't know why the world is the way it is
but I'm more than sure that it's not hard
to exist and coexist wiht my fellow man
I learned how to be my own support system when
    life weighs me down

    That wearing a smile
is more attractive than wearing a frown
I've been schooled by life's lessons
    that my mother couldn't teach
that sooner or later we all must practice what we teach

When you think your time in the limelight is through
You learn all too quickly that someone is always watching you
It doesn't matter what you own in this life
The means by which you acquire it isn't always right
It doesn't matter how you try to justify it

In my short lifetime I see that everything in life
Is worth taking all you can from it
I'm seventeen I don't have all the answers
    Nor to I desire them
If nothing else I know that
I'm what I desire to be and not
what the world tells me I should be

    :weights:
I'm seventeen with the strength to be exactly who and what I want to be.
If it bothers anyone I guess that's just tough :donttell:
