Black People : Set sight on 05 have you made a new year Resolution

    How many made or have a new year Resolution for 2005 ?
    and if so what are your primary goals or changes from 2004
    that will be different !

    what is the reason of this resolution , and what good is it or is it a myth
    a saying or just another formal way to say i am changing things this year?

    if one is made how many really carry out this saying throughout the
    coming year ?

    let me hear what the mind have to say .. :thinking:

    I think many folks make a resolution because it is the "thing" to do. It is an incentive to try to better yourself and others. I have made them in the past, hoping that I would keep them, and I did try to at first. These resolutions were only for the good, for the most part it gave me a slight incentive to try. This year, I don't think I am going to make any formal resolutions. But I am going to make some positive changes, one of which I am putting into motion before the new year even arrives(change of employment). That's my take on this. Do you make new year's resolutions Rich?

    Call them resolutions. Call them Goals. I choose the latter. I set a one year goal, a two year goal, and a five year goal. If I miss my goal, I don't sweat myself, because if I do miss it it wasn't something I did on purpose, it happened to be missed because other plans and things that needed to happen didn't. One has to remain flexable.

    I will have lots of new things this year. Some goals come to fruition much later than you expect. That is why I don't worry. Seeds sown will bear some fruit, all I can do is hope it is abundant. I do see my past efforts growing buds this spring.

    It's not easy to plan sometimes. I do wish all those who make resolutions or goals all the best this year.

    yes i make them sista watz and like HODEE said sometime keeping them is just as hard
    but i try and stay focus to better self from the last year , Hodee i love the marks to set goals
    in a plan that allow me years to reach that point in life , I make new years resolutions for
    other reasons as well ...

    Even with all the hard work of 2004 i came up short of a task a goal i set but i don't labor
    myself or down myself for not making it but i do reflect on it and go deeper to why i didn't
    complete the goal set or made that great change , I must say within i found my ANSWERS

    Really, I have never made any resolutions before but for some reason, this upcoming year , I have decided to change. In 2005, I'm gonna resolute to not settle for less when it comes to ALL of my endeavors!. I will resolute to do what is best for my little Girl. I will resolute to Go Back to School and pursue a stable Career. And lastly, I will resolute to stop dealing with triflin', selfish Men!.

    I'm one that will make things happen !
    this year my resolution is heavy but i will bust my butt to make it happen !
