what is the working definition of self hate that is employed by the mods?

i believe that some posters exhibit self hate but that is my own opinion.

what is self hate and what is the position of the house on it?
is it ok? are we free to hate on black people as much as we want to?

Brother James ... self hate is not a violation of the rules.

I believe it is manifested by most all Black People, to some degree or another, evidenced by our collective world-wide condition.

As it relates to moderating the community, we usually deal with issues on a case-by-case basis.

Is there a specific example you can direct us to, that you feel needs our attention?

If so, please give us a link to it. Thanks a Bunch!

Sister Destee,

Again Sister Destee, you have provided excellent information that should fully explain our position as a Family, toward the age old problem of self-hate, from the black perspective.

If jamesfrmphilly is taking the serious approach, this is both referral and suggested return of him to this thread: The Origin & Ending of Self Hate, created by Brother Tariq Muhammud; around which subject Astrologer4U and myself have decided to proactively focus on ways in which this syndrome, as the thread so acutely suggests, can be brought to some panacea ending the “Self Hatred,” rather than to simply acknowledge its existence.

Here is the link:

If he is still interested

Good questions, Brother James!

I have some further musings of my own....

Who really gets to make the call/distinction on what "self-hate" is?

Is there a cut-and-dried CHECK-LIST for self-hate manifestations?

What is the difference between "self-hate" and personal opinion and how can we distinguish between the two?

In our individual perceptions, if we see an example of "self-hate," can we not bring that to the attention of the fellow poster/member without the Moderating Staff being involved?

By doing so, is that just more "self-hate" or is that "Loving, Encouraging, Embracing, Teaching and Building With Black People?"

What circumstances would warrant a Moderator stepping in to "blow the whistle" on a display of "self-hate?"

:?:

I don't have the answers, but this was a good topic, Brother James! :toast:

Truly, some meat to ponder.

sister cherryblossom,

Sister Destee explained to bro. jamesfrmphilly that "self-hate" per say, was not a rule violation(no hate allowed), which is exactly why I carefully referred bro. jamesfrmphilly in my post to Sister Destee to the efforts of some of us here, if he was serious about eradicating the problem of self-hate rather than musings.

Obviously, bro. jamesfrmphilly was not serious, or at least there seems to be no evidence coming out of his mouth or should I say, fingers, by way of citing specific examples nor did he post to the referred thread...Peace In my sister friend, for real!
