    a young man entered the meadow
    Carrying a shovel and pail, seeking
    a place of fertile soil to plant a
    bounty of new seed for today;

    This man saw a clearing place
    Rested his frame on his knees
    Gently dug small holes in lines
    Placing the dug dirt into the pail;

    he reached into his pocket, pulled
    a handful of seeds of anger, pain,
    hatred, back-biting, jealousy, deceit,
    confusion, destruction and love;

    Within each freshly dug hole he
    Dropped a single seed taking time
    To cover them gently with the soil
    He placed in the bucket before;

    He looked up to the sky stretched
    His arms wide and asked for the
    Blue to turn grey so that his seeds
    Could receive water from above

    The sky began to rumble and the
    Blue was covered by the swift
    Moving of the clouds as the sky
    Opened up to shower the garden

    The man stood up, picked up his
    Pail and walked away knowing his
    Garden will be protected and his
    Seed will soon grow into a harvest;

    Many moons later, the man, slow
    And weary returned to the garden,
    His face showed signs of pain and
    His back arched from the weight;

    He looked for the place he planted
    But was lost in the midst of weeds
    And thorns, poison ivy and moss
    Making his journey difficult;

    In the middle of the woods he saw an
    area full of light and joy, a meadow
    Full of small animals, birds flying high
    And the sky beaming with sunrays;

    As he reached the end of the woods,
    He looked down to see the clearing
    where he planted so long ago and
    wondered what happened to the seed?

    Where is my harvest? Where is my
    Meadow of happiness and joy, peace
    And pleasure, sanctity and comfort?
    Why do I only have a bunch of weeds?

    a bright gentle light appeared above
    and a dove came flying towards the
    gardener of old carrying a note in his
    mouth as he landed on his shoulder;

    the gardener took the paper as the dove
    flew away and as he opened it he began
    to cry for the words rang so true in him;
    “You will reap what you sow…”

    thank you all for the read. in this time of struggle we must first understand this parable in order to realize what comes ahead...

    sow good seed,
    reap good harvest;
    sow bad seed
    reap bad harvest;
    sow no seed,
    reap no harvest;
