Eh, I have long straight hair that I'm tired of. Like very tired of. I don't want to cut my hair tho because it is long.
I want dreads but I work in the corporate world. I get so much favor for the whites for having long, straight hair. I'm afraid to get dreads because of what it might do to my future career.

But it's not. You said yourself the white folk on your job love your long, straight hair so that's the way you wear it. Opposite on my 9-5s wherein the white folk loved my kinky hair so much I had to give them the fish-eye to not touch it! (lol) Never interfered with my getting promotions, either. IDK, maybe because the white folk I worked with couldn't have cared less about "long, straight hair" seeing as they had it themselves?
