This is the first poem I have written. It is a paper for my English class. Tell me what you think

Sonnet
I want to tell you that I love you so

I want to tell you that I love you so
Because you make my heart feel like it’s full
Of something warm as noon day sun aglow.
To bring me close your loves almighty pull;
As gravity doth keep the earth in place.
We met in spring as young buds meet the frost.
A summer spent so lively full of grace.
I wish there was a way we could get lost.
Before our autumn leaves begin to fall.
So long as I can spend the fall with you.
Prepare for winters frosty beckon call.
My tree is bare and yours snow covered too.
Heaven awaits a lovely fate. My dear
Let’s get some rest, we had a lovely year.
