    SAY WHAT YOU MEAN

Don't afraid to talk to me
Speak your peace, and let it be
Get whatever it is off your chest that makes you hot
Despite the fact whether I like it or not
If you are my friend, you'll tell me the truth
Even if I do question the burden of proof
And when you step up in honesty, come clean
Mean what you say, and say what you mean

Refraim from talking disdain and disgrace
Verbalize not behind my back, but to my face
If you have an issue, come correct
But if you step to me, do it with respect
Whatever the situation, I'd rather hear it from you
Rather than from a stranger, one or two
For your words might hold trouble at bey
Say what you mean, and mean what you say

Look me in the eye when confronting me
So that I'll have no choice but to listen attentively
Whetehr it be soft words of rebuke, against my ears splashing
Or whetehr it be an outright tounge lashing
I won't fuss and pout, and have an attitude fowl
And even if I do, speak the truth anyhow
Because you could be saving me from troubles unseen
Mean what you say, and say what you mean

I'm big enough to handle what has to be said
And not let it bruise my ego, and mess with my head
Even though on the inside I might scream and hollar
And outwardly get hot under the collar
But as time goes on, I'll be alright
And get through life with better insight
And if you're not saying it loud enough,... HEY!!!
Say what you mean, and mean what you say

    Welcome back,
It's a beautiful thing to ...say what you mean, and mean what you say. And surely you earned my greatest respect for that. I like the way you flowed this piece and again welcome home...stay awhile and keep dropping.

This was right on target, say what you mean, mean what you say. Makes beating around the bush obsolete, huh? Bullseye poet.

Oh heck yeah! This could be my anthem. I get so tired of people being afraid to talk to me, to speak up in general. Miscommunication is the root of most of the world's problems, in my view. This is tight, tight, tight!! Welcome back. :dance3:

    Great Poem

    Welcome back GarlicSalt99

    I really like this flow.

" Don't afraid to talk to me
Speak your peace, and let it be "

This gets me in trouble at times. Everyone can't take the truth face to face. I don't know how to sugar coat things because that wouldn't be honest and it wouldn't convey my message.

" And when you step up in honesty, come clean
Mean what you say, and say what you mean "
