Black Poetry : Sarcasm

Common sense
Doesn't make sense
If it doesn't make cents
So called words of wisdom
From slaves of a different sense
The transition from steel chains
To diamond chains
Was apparently all the change needed
And since we have a little change
What's the point of more change?
We're close to have a black man in a powerful position
So why change our position?
Discrimination is seems to be a thing of a past
So we can let the little things pass
Because we can't see the future if we concentrate on the past
Right?
S**t we know our rights
We know when we're right
We can read and write
Know our left from our right
So why fight?
We don't need to hear another speech
About exercising our freedom of speech
I heard the Obama's speech
I like what he promotes
I'm pro-black so, yeah, he has my vote
Something about more money for me
That's enough for me
It's common sense
It makes sense to me
And you know common sense
Doesn't make sense
If it doesn't make cents

that it does...or does not make sense

common sense
isn't the sense most people sense
in paying the rent
or monies spent
coz bootleg cost less
and less is more for my cents
