    Is this accurate?
Last week we were discussing high blood pressure amongst african americans at work.
A white co-worker out of nowhere says "we use to feed slaves salt so they would not get dehyrated and they can work longer and harder"
Now I was about to catch a case when she said it!
Then she said oh it's true I saw it on a documentary.
White folks say things out of turn way too often!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHA :D No idea if it is true, but it wouldn't be a big surprise. Don't see how anyone works harder when they are dehydrated though....?

Dem white folks sure are crazy.

I've never heard that one before. I have heard that cocaine was given to black laborers because it made them work longer and harder.

    Neither have I.
This white lady at work swore she saw a documentary on it.
Something about us sweating alot and growing tired .
The salt was suppose to help us work longer.
    Cocaine? We took it?

Hmm, I am not sure how the drug was administered, but it was mentioned in a documentary on illegal drugs that aired on the history channel.

Addtionally, the documentary covered how anti-black sentiment and propaganda was used to help outlaw cocaine.

How crazed your co-worker must be. Salt dehydrates:(

What's truly sickening is the fact that she referred to her wicked ancestors as "we". I bet she'd be quick to say that "she" had nothing to do with slavery when hounded:rolleyes:

Bwoy, Cursed Heart, your work environment is full of racists:madd:

I don't know. When I was in the army in central Cali, when we went south to Death Valley or 29 Palms they spiked all the water buffaloes with salt so we had to drink salty water.

Right on...but your use of "we" isn't spouted in dishonor like Sister Cursed Heart's co-worker stated.
