rush made comments the other day to the effect of hoping obama fails in his presidency...supposedly these are not racial remarks but remarks against liberalism...funny thing though...i don't remember him saying the same thing about clinton... here is the rest of the article...you make up ur own mind...
but this fat b@stard is so blatantly racist to me it's crazy...he would put the welfare of this country on the back burner in hopes that the first black president fails....amazing...

OK - Wow! - Where do I start...

I will try to answer this with two different mentalities. One will be me as a person who does not read, does not research, and is used to allowing someone to think for me rather than think for myself. Afterwards, I will answer as someone who knows better.

Person # 1

He is wrong - how can he say that? Yeah I agree, he is not only a racist, but a hater of liberalism.

This is just plain wrong to say how Obama will fail before he starts his presidency...

Person # 2

ThinkProgress is, as they say on their website, a "Radical Right-Wing Agenda"-centered site. I will also say for the record that I do not support neither the right- or left-wing, so I am by no means endorsing him or his statements. However, I will speak for myself the way I approached this as I read it.

From the big picture, this can be construed as debris from a war between the two parties, or representatives of the 2-party system. The only people who should be bothered by this are people are see things from the left. It is also interesting how the editor used a photograph of him smoking a cigar, but that is another story...

Rush Limbaugh, as clearly stated in the article, was asked to provide a 400-word statement. He did not come out of nowhere saying, "I hope he fails." That was his response after being asked by "a major American print publication" to explain "hope for the Obama presidency." What was the man supposed to say - "I am proud of him. I hope Obama is the best."? He is supposed to be against the left. Then again, had he done that, he would only be saying what people want to hear. If you read between the lines, you will see the major difference between Bush and Obama. One can't fool folks; the other can. It's like a white man presiding over an HBCU, and asking a black man to provide a statement wishing him hope and success. If he says what people want to hear, he is alright. If he opposes, he will become the center of attention for media sources in favor of the white president.

About Liberalism - we have several threads featuring a downloadable Free Nubian book. It is actually a series of downloads, but in that book, the author mentions Liberalism. They argue, to an extent, that liberalism, capitalism, and so forth are all in the same circle; that is enough to question what is truly meant by Liberalism, especially from the western standpoint.

We folk can learn from this is to think for themselves, and not allow left- and right-wingers think for them.

i see what ur saying brother...
and i'm not left or right either...
but to me...when a cat puts his ideologies(whatever they might be)
over the good of the many...it spells out devilish tendencies....

politics are for the birds because just by it's nature alone it's a decieving practice...
but the state of this country is not good....china is moving up and is on the verge
of some serious moves against this country...for anyone to say they hope the next president fails is tantamount to being a traitor....

from my studies i remember reading of a time when the witch hunts were unleashed on people who were believed to be communist because it stood against everything this country was supposed to mean...nowadays we have gluttons like rush spewing filth against this country for headlines....while people are losing their jobs, homes and ways of life....at the very least it is insensitive and at the most...like i said b4....str8 devilry...

Yeah I hear you, Bruh, but America then was not America now. Not everyone is in exactly Pro-America, so in that case, you will see many "traitors." On that note, how can Rush be a traitor when he isn't on the same "team" as the President to begin with? About Media - most, if not all of them, are looking for the best story possible. With a journalist background myself, I know how it can be, especially when it is not exactly the greatest tool leading to financial empowerment.

Also be mindful, Bro. Khaz, that Media is derived from the term medium, meaning "intermediate agency." More specifically, participants of the media serve as the voice between the people and government, corporations, etc. They only have as much influence as people give them. Even in the Bible there are references made to the work of mediums. That would also lead you to finding out more about those "witch hunts" from back in the day.

I recently read an article telling about Obama's team member, Larry Summers, went to Lithuania and Russia messing their enconomies up. As a result, people committed suicide and even went to the point of asking for a communist system in their nation. That same person, who previously failed two national economies, now holds in the palms of his hands the American Economy...according to simple Science and Mathematics, what will he likely do to this one, when you add the influence(s) of his fellow Bilderberg, Big Corporate buddies?

Again - I do not support him or his views, but I can see how a failure is possible. In the end, it will not exactly be Rush's statement that determines what direction this nation is going in...
