Peace and Blessings Family,

New Rule ... you have no right to make another not feel welcome here.

I don't care who you are or why you think you have this right, you do not, as it's counter to our mission.

Everyone willing to abide by our rules, honor our reason for being, is welcome.

If someone is not welcome, you'll know because they won't be here ... banned by Management.

If you find yourself doing this ... suggesting another is not welcome here ... telling them to shut up, get out, don't post, challenging their presence, or anything along those lines ... don't be surprised if you are warned / suspended / banned.

You do have the right to ignore them, or leave and never return, if you don't like what or who is found here.

Thanks in advance Family.

Love You!

Peace,

If this will be enforced then it will be a positive rule. I done observed enough cats getting disrespected just because they happen to be on some other ish. It's way too easy to call someone a troll and try to get them banned.

Peace

NYC is called a rough place, and haveing worked in both blue colar and white collar, in large facilities with thousands of black folks, for a total of 21 years,
I have never observed the level of petty animosity, name calling accusations calling folks liars, white, agents, threats and warnings as from fellow members on this site,
or the focused desire to continue grudges and flame wars for months on end.

And it seems that some come here with a focus of hate rather then encourage, inform, uplift, inspire and build with other black folks

Arguement and debates are understandable, but endless petty personal slander, and attempts to demonize members, by posting peoples comments out of context, or without even quotations,
is behavior I have never seen or witnessed among black folks in my 50 years.

Reminder Family ... if you don't like someone, or what they say, put them on ignore ... instead of breaking a rule and risking getting banned your own self.

I didn't like the fact that I was attacked for my age today. It does feel like this site is for much older individuals, but you have a teen forum and you were speaking about how you wish teens and younger people would join.

I came to this site hoping to find a less to non-existent hostile environment towards younger members who wish to be a part of this site. I haven't been on here a week and I already feel like people will pounce on me because I have a different sense of humor or way of thinking or because I am young.

I am here to learn from the other members because, no, I don't know everything and no one of any age knows everything, but I do appreciate those who know more about things that I don't and share their knowledge. I listen eagerly and willingly.

I'm not an argumentative person and I don't want to argue with anyone on the Internet when it's of ill intent because it makes people look like idiots.

I came from a forum where people were nasty for no reason and I got tired of that.

This forum is something I appreciate already and I hope to become a member who can divulge some wisdom one day myself.

EnlightenMePlease, I'm sorry you feel attacked. If you're referring to the thread "you know you're old when"....I think you took a light hearted comment too personal. It's not a serious thread.

I hope you stay here and learn. While continuing to add your comments and opinions. But, you MUST develop a thicker skin, or you wont last.
Welcome and be blessed.

I'll be honest. I like black culture forums, so I've signed up for this one, BX, and Lipstick Alley. I won't post too often, only on things that I'm really interested in. Nice to meet you. :)
