Lets get at the root causes of racism on planet earth, not just review the symptons again and again, etc. It is an established fact that there is but one "Homo Sapien" human race [human life species] on this planet! Composed of many ethnic and cultural groups [skin color pigmentations, hair, physical looks, etc.]. But they are all [one] of the same "homo sapien" human species! We all fully know that as human beings we all are in some way "Anti" this or that, etc. Yet as this one race ["homo Sapiens"] why then do we find it so difficult to actually [co-exist] on this planet? Why have we, that is, nearly all ethnic different cultural groups, built weapons of mass destruction as if to self destruct ourselves and this planet? Earth people are also still catering to what is viewed as ethnic cultural tribalism, etc. We as inhabitants of this perfect planet for [our] human species seem to be in such a hurry to destroy ourselves and the planet through our ignorance of understanding one another of a different ethnic, religious, and cultural group, etc. Just as millions of us exist on a planet that we hardly know anything physically about! Yet, we hate without understanding, we destroy that [make war, etc.] we we don't care about, nor try to understand, etc. We pollute because we are far too naive [stupid] to realize that we are killing the inhabitants of this planet including damaging the planet's Ecosystems, etc. Yet all of this is because of... I'll let you finish that sentence. SwagII is gone...

Root causes of racism are... The true fact is, there is but one human race, we refer to us as "homo sapiens" aka: human beings with different skin pigmentations colors, hair, facial features, looks, etc. But we are all of the same one "homo sapiens" species! Dispite all these differences, we can all mate and have offspring, etc. Human's cannot and should not mate with no-human animals, etc. But we can learn from animals when it comes to getting alone simply based upon skin color, etc. Yet, human beings find it often difficult to accept each other based upon skin color, hair, facial looks and cultures, etc. Yet, we are all of this one "homo sapien" species! Our home is at the time is a planet we call Earth! Instead of mentally evolving as to learn and accept each other as brothers and sisters, most of us actually cannot get alone by accepting one another as human beings, etc. Instead we seek to destroy, manipulate, and oppress each other through threats of war and actual wars, etc. We make weapons of destruction to kill and or destroy what we preceived to be our enemies, while at the same time polluting and destroying the planet! Therefor I again pose this question, "What in your person view are the root causes of racism?" SwagII is out....

Let's start with the Root of all Evils....Ignorance.

Now In one Word the root cause of Racism is Economics......The False Notion of Scarcity of Resources.
Closely allied to Economics is Politics - Power relationship between groups and decisions on how to Use and Allocate Resources....Control of the exchange of Goods and Service.

To understand the root causes of race we have to talk to white people and for them to understand why racism is bad they have to talk to us. Therefore a key factor is lack of communication and lack of consciousness.

Episode 2... 16:24 seconds in...

This is an example of how many white people think. And so they blame the situation on us because we don't want to "fit in" but really what he's talking about is assimilation. And the reason why many whites don't understand is because they are unconscious of white supremacy as a default. The guy in the bar doesn't either. He's just articulating his thoughts without realizing how bad it sounds. So when she says "As you know blacks always have to conform to, you know, white culture" all he could say was "America was formed by white people". So for him, the default is not "we are Americans and this is a melting pot". The default is "this is a white country and you need to assimilate in order to be fully accepted" (good or bad).

And the fact that he says good or bad shows that this isn't simply his own personal belief but rather he is speaking for what he understands and has heard from the larger community he represents. And so he thinks that "anyone" (because expanding the frame attempts to hide the effect of race) who comes over here should WANT to be or at least be accepted as or as close to "white" as they can be. Culturally. And if not... (literally said) "if not, the go someplace else".

When people say "Go back to Africa" this is what they're saying. They're essentially saying, you're not "white" enough to be here and therefore we can't accept you. Now if you act white you'll be more accepted. And that starts with the fact that people are put off and even intimidated by differences. And that's first a visual thing. A person makes that judgment sans knowing you at all. And so its a question of "if I don't know you, what is your threat level?"

So even though we are one single species there is no law saying all lions or all bears or all snakes or all eagles need to work together. No. They will see each other as competition and therefore a threat to their food. So within the context of "we're all American" the fact that local threats exist (ex: crime) means that we're all looking to see who we can and cannot trust. Who can be an ally. That subconscious thought extends to "is this a person I can go have drinks with?" and that often extends to who gets hired. And if you think about it this also is the path of logic behind women having a more difficult time in many work places.
