    I felt the pain,
    the utter loss,
the abject fear, as his frame shook with sobs-
    in any other circumstance
he'd be called a cry baby slob,
but this, this.. this was different,
    this was death;
this was the grave and a casket-
no amount of bravado could mask it-
    my tears flowed for him,
for what he'd have to face-
His three little girls hugged his big frame-
    looking bewildered, confused-
    o JAH o JAH
there are no words to comfort him,
    to comfort them-
she was only thirty and four,
    a victim of cancer-

    I attended their wedding,
    danced with her,
    shared his joy
    now I could barley comprehend
    much less share his misery.
he was like a brother to me,
she was the sister I never had
just to be around them made me glad-
Now this, this.. this thing called death,
this lifeless corpse, this suspended breath.
I wanted to tell him that everything
    would be alright,
    but words took flight,
    giving way to trembling lips,
    weakened grips-
    on reality.
why him, why her, why them,
what would he tell the children-
who would he go to when this cold world
caves in like it does every now and then?
I and I would be his brother, his friend,
yet somehow I knew his sadness would never end.
So I got on my knees amidst the tears
of mothers, friends, relatives and others
and I comitted him into the arms of the MOST HIGH GOD,
    the MOST HIGH GOD
    the MOST HIGH GOD
    the MOST HIGH GOD

YeshuJah ... so beautiful yet so sad, all at the same time. You have such a way of bringing me deep within your experience. I was here with you, with him, with her, the children, family and friends. Knowing with my whole heart that there was and is nothing else to do, but commit him to God, for He is able to relieve such pain, to fill the empty place in a heart that death brings. He is so very able.

    Thanks for sharing.

    The expressiveness of your
    emotions are so deeply felt.
    I often have difficulty saying,
    I enjoyed a sad piece.
    However, this is beautifully written
and I'm sure comforting to your friends
    as well as yourself.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Scribeaboutit!It helps.

    Destee, Coco & Natasha-
Thanks for reading this- I actually wrote this out of a vision I had sitting at my desk one day. This never happened to me, but the vision was real. I wrote this through tears-- cannot explain it.

    JAH Love always.
