    :lift:

When a man becomes a man, he puts away childish ways
shedding his foolish skin to wear the heavy coat of responsibility.
He stands when his legs desert him and raises his head high that
others may know he is King, that he is master of himself and his heritage.

When a man becomes a man, he becomes a respecter of others
and lifts those around him that drift into dark alleys of destitution.
He does not flinch at the demands that life drops heavy on his shoulders.
Instead, he presses on turning the terrible tides into opportunities.

When a man becomes a man, he leads with vigor and follows with loyalty.
He respects himself, as well as, the fallen and disrespecters of themselves.
His heart holds compassion for those impoverished by the world’s cruelty.
Rain falls from his eyes because they see below the surfaces and
into hearts that need his strength and to beaten, barren, or abandoned.

When a man becomes a man, he respects all women as his mother
when she carried her precious parcel through the world’s stacked deck.
His children know his face and feed on his wisdom and knowledge.
    He is the teacher and the eternal student, always hearing more than saying;
sharing and speaking necessities to bring about the passage of another man.

When a man becomes a man, he is a protector not a persecutor.
He takes no advantage and hurts none. He is beyond braggadocios boasting
or flaunting his personal prosperity. That he is a man, is enough.
He earned his way through the rights of passage. In a world designed to defeat him,
he withstands the rights of passage, when a man becomes a man.

I believe I can safely say, that every man who has the privilege of reading this will say, "YES", at the end of each line. Brilliant.
