http://www.maestro.io/revolt Dear James, In just a few minutes many of the entertainment industry’s best and brightest will come together in fellowship to support, celebrate and showcase the leadership and resilience of the people of Flint, Michigan. Tonight, Blackout for Human Rights- a collective of filmmakers, artists, activists, musicians, religious leaders and concerned citizens- will put on a one of kind show to raise money for, and center the stories of, those that have been indelibly impacted by the on-going Flint water crisis. We’re so proud to be a co-sponsor of this unique benefit. We’ll hear from artists like filmmakers Ryan Coogler and Ava DuVernay, Grammy nominee Janelle Monae, Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, and comedian Hannibal Buress as well as leaders on the ground like Nayyirah Shariff from the Flint Democracy Defense League, Rick Carter of Michigan Faith in Action and local pediatrician Mona Hanna-Attisha. But perhaps most importantly, we’ll hear from families whose stories too often are left untold- or are told by someone else instead of in their own voice. We invite you to join us starting at 5pm est/ 2pm pst for the live stream and on social media. I promise you, you don’t want to miss out- we’ve got a jam-packed evening planned. There will be special guests, a few surprises, and if you join us on Twitter @colorofchange, we’ll take you behind the scenes with our staff members on the ground in Flint.
