In all fairness fambly, I felt the need to revise my previous view of this situation.
There is no way Obama could have attended. He would not be going as Barack Obama. He would be going as the representative of the United States. As much evil as this country has done to everyone around the world how could its representative attend a conference where the sins of individual nations were sure to be pointed out?
But what is he doing? He is closing Guantanamo Bay. He is exposing the secret sins of the CIA. He is cleaning his own house before he joins a committee to point out the dirt in other people's house's. In short, he is doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing and I cannot fault him.
