The New Year’s found me in tears
And she said to me what’s wrong sugar?
See I’m having these thoughts that are invading my New Year, this new day and some new vibes
These thoughts were a product of a crisis
The crisis led to the urgency that stimulated my tear glands
Thoughts interfering with my mental status
And tympanic hiatus
See it’s a new year and a new day
And the earth just completed another cipher
But I can hardly free all these children from my past
I can hardly free all these emotions causing inner commotion
Can hardly free all these thoughts distorting my path
But like they said it’s a new year, a new day and some new vibes
I still can hardly free all these children from my past
Can’t let go that connection
Stock with thoughts that can’t be erased
Stocked with children that require excess lactation, depriving me of the proper nutrients
But like I heard the earth just completed another cipher
But it’s a new year, this new day, new vibes
The earth just completed another cipher
But still…
I can hardly free all these children from my past
