    when the fight is won
    the battle not done
    the mind is lost
    body pay the cost

    mix emotions
    yet a humble devotion
    moving slow motion

    thinking , wondering
    for the moment of tyme
    no longer shine
lights dem cup to da brim
    slim chance but confess
    trouble loom
    heart broom
    spool in da depth

    career done
    work tone heavy
    years of pain
    facing da blame
    stain wit blood
    covered in mud

    take a bud light
    set a sight
    do it right
    close a book to retirement
    toast :toast:
    pick up da final check
    wave thankz :thanks:
    and retire.........................

To even think of retiring, I see the bitter with the sweet. The sweet, is the thought of resting a tired body and mind, and having more time available for other ventures. The bitter, is missing what not only one has grown accustomed to, but depending on the amount of years spent, missing something one loves. Definitely a yin and yang here. I feel ya poet, flow on.

When one door closes, another one opens, my brothah. May your heart keep running and singing on your new adventure in life.
