Don’t rest in peace-
Rest in me.
I know I ignored you for too long,
But now I have chosen to see.

I didn’t ask the Heavens for eternal life,
I pleaded for re-birth.
Now I am brand new
With a new life on this old earth.

So don’t rest in peace-
Rest in me.
I promise this time
You’ll get the best in me.

Sister, when the world is hurting you,
When it steps on your grace and violates your space…
Come and rest in me
So I can erase that hurt without a trace.

To my younger brothers in the struggle;
Never acknowledged as the kings of tomorrow.
Forget those who disrespected your manhood;
Rest in me and forget your sorrow.

To my beautiful elders,
Who raised me and my generation.
Find rest in the young ones when you are weary,
And seek us out so we can have re-generation.

To my beautiful wife,
Who I have yet to meet.
Trust me the way I trust you
And there is no bitter we cannot turn to sweet.

Times will come when I will cry,
When I will sit down and simply die.
There will be problems not even you can solve,
But I will love you for I know you try.

And when you fall from the pain,
I will know there might not be anything I can do.
At those times please remember
To rest in me, so I can rest in you.

My brother, this life is for you as it is for me,
It is testing me.
But there is no peace for the world or us today,
So come and rest in me.

It is I, who'll be your leaning pole,
when life cruely beats you down.
Yes, I'll Kindly be the peace you seek,
to stand on yet,...a firmer ground,

Of course Our lives are in need of change,
I'll be here for you...just call my name.
Just relax, Rest awhile... here in my space,
the comfort you'll feel in this awesome place.

Don't rest in a piece, rest Only in me,
And shall we all make it..where we all want to be.

awesome piece poet, very moving and enlightning..thanks
