I see you peeping my style
Gripping about it for a while
Cause I’m not your Sunday’s best
But I am passing the everyday test
Living my life on purpose and aloud
Trying to reach a different crowd
No pumps, crazy hats and suits
For that is not my trivial pursuit
Soul winning is name of the game
Not turning my noise up in shame
Giving honor and praise through my pen
For I know what it is to be in the lion’s den
Or to be thrown in the ramped up furnace
Coming out with praise and a holy dance
I could give monologues from the pulpit
But instead I stand on the corner and spit
For I am determined to live outside the box
To live a life that is not full of paradox
One that represents the almighty kingdom
Everyday until the savior shall come

I sincerely sought to quote a favorite line in my response to your poem, but could not find one that stood out to me from among the others...because every single line of this made me say "YES! That's It!" So all I can say is please, please please...never stop writing...never ever stop. Your lines are a ministry of light in darkness.
