I have noticed that next to people's name one of the things it says is something about their rep power. Some says 50 something and in my case mine and some others im sure, says 0. I wonder what does that mean and how do you earn rep power??

    Greetings legit-writer

While i'm not sure of the details for rep power, below is a link where members have shared what they've learned and come to understand about it.

    I hope this helps!....

The forum software has a Reputation feature that members can use to show their approval or disapproval of posts made by others. However, our Administrator (Destee) has disabled the negative part so that members can only give "positive" reputation.

At the UPPER RIGHT corner of each post is a set of icons. If you move your mouse over the second one (the balancing scales) you will see that it is designed to "Add to <username>'s Reputation".

Any user/member of the forum can click there and approve of the post. They can also leave a brief comment, praising a post.

The net result of all these approvals affects the color of the little colored square by every user's name, location, and post count. If you hover over the colored square, you may see any of the following:

<user> "is an unknown quantity at this point"

<user> "is on a distinguished road"

    <user> "has a spectacular aura about him/herself"

<user> "is a jewel in the rough"

<user> "will become famous soon enough"

<user> "has a name known to all"

<user> "is a splendid one to behold"

user> "is a glorious beacon of light"

    <user> "has a brilliant future"

<user> "has a reputation beyond repute"

<user> "has much to be proud of"

(Now, these descriptions may not be in the correct order here and there may be more. These descriptions are set by the Administrator [Destee])

Everyone on the forum can see the colored square and the little description that corresponds to each user's Reputation balance. Each user can see the Reputation comments they have been given by clicking on the "User CP" (for "User Control Panel") link on the menu of each page. The comments will contain a link to the post.
