Until balance is fully understood
I will write standing up on one leg
Our futures beg us to be gentle with it
Because they bruise easily as we
Abuse the present with no mercy
I confuse smart dudes with views
That scholars don't mention in textbooks
Capturing true neccesity with vision like fish hooks
Luring in a wider perspective on the condition of men
I think God made me right handed
Because he knew the left one would sometimes be weak
Since the left side it where my heart beats
While at the same time my heart is
Uniquely critiquing how to perfect emotional speaking and
Devotional seeking of reform
We are just a bright storm which means
It's time for revolutionized hearts to perform and
Personalized experience to teach others by example
Learning how to fly as we stumble
True potential penciled my mental
Into euphoric beauty of outlaying stories
Demonstrating His glory by my works on Earth
Let he who has something to say emerge with words
So deafening, that the mute will start singing
I'll represent the truth in how the rich keep breeding
While the poor keep needing
Those with millions stop believing
But those with a few dollars are always dreaming
I'll respresent the low working class
An unlimited pass into a sector of segregation
Another excuse for humiliation
Equality is silly, it's just seen on occasions
Who will send invitations to the soldiers
What about a word of apology
For the residents in foreign countries
Where we intrude to uphold an unstable economy
I can't hold a note, but I'd sing my *** off for real democracy
There's so many things to say
Picture a starving child's holiday
Please don't collpase as you fight for the few scraps of recognition
Laid in the laps of blind politicians
Appearing to be kind apparitions
Then the care dissolves, when money is involved
Life makes it harder to be a Christian
While freedom is a crooked contract
And justice is just too abstract
I don't believe unity and America have ever met
While the established men are always supplied
With goods produced by a common man's blood and sweat
Until love is fully restored
I'm willing to be spiriutally explored
Until the global economy
Gives equal opportunity to the poor
Until the slum lords get evicted
Until dirty police are convicted
Until those who are selfishly on their feet
Will be asking that hungry child for something to eat
So much corruption
My thoughts won't have time to sleep
Even though the Earth feels motionless, there is movement
Even though the world seems bad, there is room for improvement
Ignorance is expensive, but knowledge is free
I'd rather live in wisdom than die of stupidity
Being beautifully human, I don't view men as demons
I only see worldly consumed men longing to be new men
So let's agree then, that a difference is relevant
Let's make progress while problems have easy access
My spirit will sometimes fall into deep darkness
But not even Rock Bottom will hold it
Because I believe change is blessedness
And I want to be part of that change, I want to be a Renaissance Poet

Medicine For The Mind

wow. im feelin this jawn. this is the work of a truly concerned poet.
i like how you tackled social conditions, politics and development of the self in a rhyme scheme, which is hard to do.

"We are just a bright storm which means
It's time for revolutionized hearts to perform and
Personalized experience to teach others by example
Learning how to fly as we stumble
True potential penciled my mental
Into euphoric beauty of outlaying stories"
