Religion can be defined as a belief system that locks a person into a dogmatic cosmological matrix beyond which the adherent is unable to perceive the divine. In other words the adherent of one religion cannot imagine any way of connecting with or even believing in the divine outside his or her religion.

Only when we understand that the divine is far beyond anything we could possibly believe about (insert your pronoun of choice) and while we may limit our own ability to connect we cannot limit the ability of the Creator to connect with others regardless of the religion they affiliate with.

When we understand or rather overstand that then we are on the road to true spirituality.

Religion can be defined that way, but it certainly doesn't make that true. Being honest to what religion truly is, one would know it is a way of living your faithful life to and before the Father and the Holy Son. It is a binding to who They are and you deciding not to be bound by the sins of this earth.

A person can be religious, thus having religion, but the titles and the businesses associated with it are tainted views of what religion is supposed to be.
