Something i conjured a couple of days ago tell me how u feel....
Reli- gone from Religion

My mother asked me once
“Are u gon- Reli on Religion?”
With God inside I couldn’t lie
“Momma Im Reli- Gone from Religion”

My words cut through her pleasant scripture pages
Only to reveal her sullen rage
“Momma Please let me explain my tension”
….division in essence is religion

My soul was once lost on a dreary road
I stepped up in a church… they didn’t match my tone
So I continued on my endeavor to find my home

The next stop was a temple where the people were black
My faith maid a rear exit cause they took the cross and
Stabbed me in my back

So on I went to a glorious tabernacle
The walls were made of gold
The congregation’s garments were nothing short of spec tac cle
With pockets linty and my stomach past empty

I hollered “LORD DELIVER ME A LENDER”
An fine christian usher tapped me on the shoulder
And whispered “god can hear u better with legal tender

” With God inside I couldn’t lie
“Momma Im Reli- Gone from Religion”

this was nice flowing and well felt scribe too

I truly feel you on this
it has long been my sentiment
that religion is not only devisive
but the shackle by which we remain enslaved...

great piece...loved it
