    REIGN OF THE EYEBALL

I reign as the eyeball. I’m bathed by tears.
Bright worlds I image for Man’s mental gears
to churn those depths where creative fractions
give birth to Ideas made whole by actions.

Glands in my eyelid above me squeeze
their salty flush that bathes me clean
of wind, of dust and dirt injections
each time I blink, each eye deflection.

But hearty laughter, anger and grief
are emotions strong. They demand me release
those glands when swollen liquid filled
and erupt my tear gushing cascade spills
to carry those feelings that make hearts stop
to the exits of the Soul in each teardrop.

They empty the body taking laughter with pain,
love with anger and loss with gain.
And the Spirit is lightened and finds its calm
at the crossroad of tears where the blood slows down,
where the heart beats quiet and the lungs breathe air,
where the Soul rests cleansed of its trembling cares

and the light through me brings a clarity of mind
where tomorrow sips Hope from the chalice of Time.
And I reign as the eyeball, the collector of light
and the ejector of tears in the day and the night.

    Namyh

So’ja – I am totally honored by your words So’ja. So glad this put a feelin’ of depth on ya. I wrote this to show that we take for granted so many things, the eye being one of the most important and also being a window to that soul. Your words……TOP NOTCH too and thanks for them. Namyh.

Lilpea – If we can stand as symbols of illumination to the midnight scribe endowed with an up-beat, we will indeed bask in the moment and be elevated to the status of Inspiration Gods. This poem thanks you. DSS would thank you. And of course, I thank you. So be off to your note pad Lilpea and write the big one with our blessings.

P.S. – Now where did I put those thunderbolts ? Hey! And where is the throne I ordered two weeks ago and paid good money for ? Anybody seen my crown with the McDonald arches on the front of it ? If so, there’s a reward.

Waz – I love that you loved this. We poets often give recognition to the overlooked and make it significant. What a job, huh. Thanks Waz. Namyh
