...from the journal of Purple McKinsee...

**** hindsight...
it is always a perfect 20/20
sometime we wish
it were...blind in one eye
regrettably...
NOT

shoveling a diverted path
from dreams of a
white picket fence
surrounding a cottage
on rolling green hills
with yellow daffodils...
regrettably...
i got
your house on
some foriegn land
enclosed by chain link
that choked away the green
killing the daffodils
and smoothering me...
and my dreams
regrettably...

i said yes when i meant
NO...hell NO
regrettably...

my soul began to wither
as my heart shriveled...
i was dying...
from the inside out
as my eyes became
charcoal pits of death...
regrettably...

regrettably...
i was more you than
i was myself...
filling your half empty
shoes...(that's my fault)
a woman carrying a "man's"
load...
it ain't honorable to
sacrifice a life...
my life...(**** ring)
yet...
regrettably...
i was...
yours
