Police in Charlotte, North Carolina arrested Everette Edgeworth when he tried to return the money to the Fifth Third bank he'd robbed. Police say he robbed the bank, returned and gave the money back.
Edgeworth is afraid of prison and that is why he brought the money back, but having good intentions after the fact doesn't mean he can take the crime itself back, and the place Edgeworth fears most is now a place where he could spend a long time.

I live my life as straight as I can. But I have always said & believed that if all else fails, if I have exhausted all other means to support my family and they are hungry, then I will feed them by any means necessary.
So if I would have robbed that bank, I would have done so because there was no other option left. That money would have only gotten back to them because I spent it.
But in any case, I can't understand why he returned it in the first place (unless it was to ease his guilty conscious) because he's gonna get the same amount of time. Returning it will change nothing in the law.

So true , guilty or not they wouldn't have seen that money back
maybe ones heart couldn't continue beyond the guilt of it and the facts why one has
taken it in the first place........I wonder how much he had got away with only to return
it and now face the same time for this crime as if he would have kept it...

    FAIL!!!!

What a dummy...how you gonna fear prison and then return to the scene of the crime to return the money...like if I give it back then I won't go

    That's why criminals RUN AWAY

And for him to give that money over to some charity....that sounds so sweeeeeeeet

This guy ain't no Robin Hood

Right he might not be a robin hood but he was one guilty conscious that made him
return it and on the other hand one lost soul and fool for doing it in the first place
knowing he might get caught or face jail time .........
