Long down the road from Kingston way
She came to rest
She came to play
The sand will shift in Montego Bay

Sand burning beneath her toes and her feet
Sand to absorb her juices so sweet
Under Caribbean moonlights
She’ll walk hand in hand
Make love on the beach
With a dred-locked man

Black woman
Pretty like her sunsets
Beaming with heat
Felt near and felt far
Her one reminder of home
The northern star

Reggae beats
Tropical treats
Air salted by blue water
Land picturesque from every view
She is home among the beauty
There she is true
She is a woman of the sun
A woman brand new
