i saw a Cloudless Sulpher flying by

and she saw me crying and then asked me why

someone of your stature isn't sighing with the sweet potato pie of his dreams

after studying her theme for a while

howard answered :

i lost her heart when it was time to win it

[exhausted, he tried to smile but couldn't begin it]

[and then continues]

she lied when she said we weren't possible in the first place

and that her popcicle was always ahead in the race

cause if he saw what i saw i don't think he'd ever be able to erase the image of them two

slowly gliding down the sidewalk for what seemed like an hour or two or three

the sight of them talking will always be haunting me

and my conscious keeps telling me that if i could've did what he did,

and opened the lid

to our $100,000 pyramid

she would have accepted my bid

to become her Joe Kidd

but as it is, the cost of my mistakes are constantly taunting me

and i'm lost in a lake of "what could've been " memories of her and an Italian resturant and me

contemplating

love,

howard
