    lost hopes and lost lives
    climb brick red walls that
    shield the sun from shining
    resembling deadened vines
    that bear poisonous fruits
but rise to see the other side
    with blind eyes and realize
    that the future was yesterday
and yesterday was the last day
to a tomorrow with no promise

    minds have to exists
    on the other side
so the body has a map to follow
and tears have a channel to drain into
a basin to cleanse the soul with

    ....
