Rats in KFC - Taco Bell

A rat runs between chairs inside a KFC-Taco Bell restaurant in Greenwich Village in New York, Friday, Feb. 23, 2007.

NEW YORK --A dozen rats were caught on video scurrying around the floor of a New York City KFC/Taco Bell restaurant early Friday, running between counters and tables and climbing on children's high chairs.

News crews flocked to the windows of the Greenwich Village neighborhood restaurant, which hadn't opened for the day. By midmorning, the footage was all over the Internet and television news shows, with onlookers giving a play-by-play from the sidewalk as the rodents moved about.

"He's coming for his close-up," one bystander said as a rat came near the window.

    watch that fast food huh?

some say KFC sell rat anyway
so some must have broke out their cages

    lol

and another shot for Taco Bell

hey them rats go where the food is

the place must not be clean

and that's why you should be careful about

    where you eat

Destee dem country rats bigger though

    lol

    but honestly rats are everywhere

this is nothing special per se

    just that it's on film

but you could only imagine what goes on when

    the lights go out

    they say there is

8-10 mice or rats per resident of NYC

    um that's um

    goddang 80 million rats

    living underground

    and surfacing for food

The rat problem is certainly something I don't miss about New York. Rats breed in wet environments. Lower NY (the five boroughs of NYC and Long Island) is very moist. I would tell my girlfriend she has never seen a rat until she's seen a New York rat. Last summer I took my girl to NY on her first visit and she freaked out when she saw a raccoon-size rat scurry across a telephone pole. If yall could have seen the look on her face.

...The site of the movie was in NYC, and the content dealt with rats in NYC. That is all I was pointing out when I posted the link. I seen the movie a good 20x! LOL! I had it on tape a few years ago.

    getting around manhattan is fine

getting around Brooklyn Bronx and Queens

now there you have to know where you going

and Staten Island you can take the ferry from lower Manhattan

or drive over the Verranzo Bridge thru Brooklyn

    peace

    Bro. So'ja-

Aight - you got that one. Time and time again I forget that just because a movie SAYS one city, does not mean that everything is happening in that city.

For example, the Spook Why Sat By the Door SAYS CHI, when it is really located in Gary.

Back to the topic - even though (as we both agree on) that the movie was based on/in Toronto, while they say NYC, it did allude to the fact that there is a "big" rat problem in both areas/terrains.
