Talk about corruption among police! Has anyone seen the movie, "Serpico" with Al Pacino? Made in 1973 about the City of New York and police corruption.

"Frank Serpico (Al Pacino) is an idealistic New York City cop who refuses to take bribes, unlike the rest of the force. His actions get Frank shunned by the other officers, and often placed in dangerous situations by his partners. When his superiors ignore Frank's accusations of corruption, he decides to go public with the allegations. Although this causes the Knapp Commission to investigate his claims, Frank has also placed a target on himself. The film is based on a true story."

What about the eight year American drama series, "Shield" about cops in LA?

"Vic Mackey is a rogue cop in an experimental division of the Los Angeles Police Department, willing to sink to the criminals' level in order to take them on -- but his misdeeds eventually come home to roost. He breaks the law to, in his mind, bring some semblance of order to a chaotic world.

The Wire, is about the city of Baltimore. You have to ask yourself, how much is real and how much is made up for entertainment purposes.

Bottom line, though, Hollywood is depicting what's happening with the "men in Blue" in our communities across this nation. There are a ton of examples of police corruption in cities throughout the U.S. and I believe there are very few people, especially Black people, who don't know it. The question is, how do you clean the mess up or, does this country really want to or just paying lip service?

Frank Serpico was a low life sickening disgrace to every decent hard working NYPD MOF of all time. Every MOF in Manhattan North and Bronx 7th Division despised him and what he stood for: Dope smoking and ratting on his partners. The "ONLY" reason why that traitorous snake in the grass dirtbag didn't take money from verminous murdering dope dealers was because he was a dope smoker to beat all dope smokers himself and that scene in that worthless lie of a movie where he and that other drug addicted idiot ADA friend of his was told to smoke dope with all the other NYPD MOF's in the academy was the biggest lie in the annals of the NYPD. This pathetic excuse for a MOF was skimming dope from the evidence lockers wherever he could get access to and he'd give the stolen dope out like candy to his doped up friends at his many dope parties who on their best day couldn't hold a candle to real MOF's. Frank Serpico was also a known coward, misfit and a jerk and he and his stupid ADA partner in crime who saved him from getting done in by the very same animals who completely destroyed the careers of many a good cop. Manhattan SCU was so fed up with IAD sniffing behind them the only way was to get the Division Captain to get Boro Command to transfer him to Brookyn North Command and he got shot in that hallway because he was so hyped on dope when the skell behind the apartment door shot him in his ugly lying bearded face and there was no set-up to kill him. The other men in SCU dressed appropriately but the boy wonder dressed like some skell, he smelled rank too. The KNAPP Commission with their self promoting skewed agenda was a total witch hunt that not only accomplished nothing but ruined the lives and careers of many a good cop. Thanks to him the public's faith in NYPD plummeted so what does NYPD's biggest badge wearing drug kingpin do? Skips town and good riddance you dope addict. You and that flea bitten mangy cur of a dog won't be missed.
