Black Poetry : Rainbows on the tip of my consciousness

I am a lesbian....
after all this tyme of sleeping in the shadows
and condemnation filling me up, as people would point and say,
your going to hell for your lifestyle...

I am proud to say this....i will stand tall...
and even though some may not approve,
i know that this is who i am...

though this may come as a shock to some,
i hope you won't look at me as being any different,
i hope you don't discriminate, because this ladies and gentlemen is who i am, and nothign can change that....
