Among the more striking findings cited are a U.S. Department of Commerce study estimating that minority purchasing power would increase from $4.3 trillion to $6.1 trillion in 2045 if income inequalities were eliminated. Research also indicated that “businesses with a more diverse workforce have more customers, higher revenues and profits, greater market share, less absenteeism and turnover, and a higher level of commitment to their organization."
By closing the earnings gap through higher productivity, the nation’s gross domestic product would improve substantially.

What we know: Racism has left a vast legacy of violence. Bigotry in America has marginalized a diverse range of minority culture. It dashes the hopes of children.

What we didn't know: Bias based on race costs the United States a shade under $2 trillion a year.
A more complete accounting of the toll taken by race-based chauvinism has arrived in the form of a W.K. Kellogg Foundation study that shows fallout from racism slashing the country's wealth. The study, released in October, posits that an income gap resulting in part from racism costs the country $1.9 trillion dollars each year...

I spoke with my mom a couple of weeks ago about a topic similar to this. I believe it 100%. Who knows, the gap may be even bigger. I know over time, that amount is a staggering number. Sometimes I can only shake my head at the things of this world, from history until now.

if it's cost'n 'em 2 trillion ... they're making 999 trillion from that investment

everything costs something ... and they've been willing to pay the price ... for hundreds of years

who wouldn't pay 2 trillion for a 999 trillion return

has anyone presented a tally on how much money racism has made for them

if so, you'll find that 2 trillion is nothing ... candy money for their kids ... certainly not a reason to stop

Based on what? Because it costs a lot?

Some people place race above all things, including money. This has been shown time and time again, on smaller scales, no? They'd refuse service to someone black even though they're the ones losing money and business.

It doesn't matter if racism seems against their interest for making more money, since their true interest is keeping all others on the outside, and keeping "their kind" on top.

I think too many like to give them credit for their racism, as if it equates "intelligent" just because they still have so many oppressed.
