Are you ready for this revolution?
Black fist engulfed in power raised high
Nubian faces drenched in pain pointed to the sky
This revolution is fierce and freedom is coming
Our cause is fought with a vengeance and our target is the government
Jogging and singing we chant in unison
Awww Shoot whisper the white man what did we do to ‘em
They label us and treat us like we have no say on this earth
But this earth wouldn’t be earth if my strong Afrikan sistahs didn’t give birth
They only wanna get that dough, forget the people that’s poor,
U.S. is the pimps and we the whores
Colin Powell is its bottom Blitch he do as he’s told
House Nygger serving his master forgot where he came from
He made it to the top he gets to play their game
But he’s an example of divide and conquer it’s all the same
He couldn’t beat them so he joined them so now he’s the enemy
He’s black on the out side but white is his mentality
After Martin, Malcolm, and Marcus fought for out rights
He went to the house of the white man and sold his life
No look at him a high paid slave
He’s a house nygger to the heart that don’t want to be saved
So I ask, are u ready for a revolution cause he’s not
They gave him a little taste of the white American dream and he quickly forgot
Forgot the struggle and the pain African people had to endure
So he encourages unity through out all races, which is a placebo cure
Ignorance is the bible for the youth that’s black
And they’re growing up uneducated because of the respect they lack
My generation was called the generation of the crack babies and many lived up to that name.
Drugging our parents and stopping this revolution was the white man’s aim.
Successfully they dismembered many in that black race
Had them saying Forget a revolution I’d rather my reality be laced
Laced with crack, acid, coke, and weed
Forget stimulating my mind with knowledge I’d rather use ecstasy
Achieving the American dream is what we’ve all been conditioned to want
So we allow them to brand us with names and I don’t see what’s the point
We’ve been nygger, negros, coloreds, and blacks
Lets stop bull shytting each other and stick to the facts
We are all Afrikans and we’ll be Afrikans until we die.
I wear it proudly as I try to keep this revolution alive
Are you ready for this revolution and the road we have to follow?
Because the road will be hard and our efforts can’t be shallow
You got to be ready for this revolution cause I am
I’m ready to save our Afrikan children from the pain withstand
I’m ready to be as radical as the black panthers and lay down my life
I’m ready to die for my cause I’m ready to fight
To my Afrikan ancestors and heritage I must be true
So I say I’m ready for a revolution, are you?

people say they are down for the cause
    but when an issue arises...
    they stop and pause
    rethink and backtrack
all dat fake afrocentric talk you do is wack...
    what's up with that...
    i'm not ready to die
but i'll die for my crew
and die for my people if i have to
    to make things betta
so what if colin powell is powerful and a go getta
    he's a house slave
    down to da letta
    i neva metta
crab @ss token dat i liked
    thas why i'm so glad
poeticsoulsista took da time to write
    da harsh reality
    that's stabin me and you
    the question is
    whatcha gone do?

Missed you gurl SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK :)

    Been ready for a while
    as I watch in disgust
the tale of tragedy and mistrust
    revolution it’s a must
laced up my boots, raised my fist up high
lookin them demons in the eye
    “its your turn to die”
    and if you wonder why
    listen to motherland cry
    the tears of children lost
    and at what cost
so the WHITE man can be free??
to spread his lies and ambiguity??
and at the expense of my history???
No no no no no no no no no
    Not any more
treachery met deception at the white house door
and whos to tell when they will spread their dis-ease again
telling my brothas “heres your new white gurl friend”
    Condeleeza…Colin
    they are all steady fallin
    into the abyss
    of the white house mist
    that deadly kiss
    of betrayal before death
    save your last breath
    Been ready for a while
    since I was a chile
singin the song of continuance the ancestors gave to me
told me lift your eyes and you will see
been waiting for my brothas and sistas to sing along
    so we can come strong
    this is where we belong
    side by side
    with every stride
    motherland relive in me
    the pain of the past
    the yearning to be free
and even if I die for thee
its better than living without my history...
    *******
missed you sis this was off the hinges strong...I'm ready...glad to know you are too :)
