I was wondering if there are certain laws that prevent people from boycotting government agencies within their state?

The reason i'm asking this is because every time citizen are outraged about injustices bestowed upon them.... protesting seems be the only peaceful method they resort to. Is it unlawful to boycott government agencies within the United States?

If not, what are some of the reasons people are reluctant to do so? What are the backlashes and/or consequences?

Also, what type of businesses would be most effective to boycott in a state or city to
    bring about the greatest affect?

If there are laws preventing civil boycotting of governmental agencies, I'm not familiar with them PurpleMoons. Generally, the government subsidizes and supports civic and social activities.

What government agencies are you wanting to boycott?

Keep in mind, boycotting something concerns hitting the target in the pocket where it hurts the most. So to successfully boycott government agencies would mean not to pay taxes.

Provided the business is connected to the purpose of the boycott, it could be any business. The more folk that stop buying or purchasing their products, etc..., spells success.

For example, fans would have to boycott or stop watching Football in order to have real impact on domestic violence against women in the NFL.

I think you may have to be more specific

I couldn't be more specific because i really didn't have a clue. Nevertheless, i was curious why it wasn't done and how would one go about it. I know that boycotting public transportation is one way to send a message, but was unsure of any other services that everyday people use daily, which would make a significant enough impact.

You could review the Montgomery bus boycott. Is there an organization that is interested in doing this?
