He told me I had a beautiful voice
even helped me develop it.
Guided me in the direction
and encouraged me to be more confident.
He was the only one who could reach deep down
within my dark place and find that light.
He pulled out of me passion.
Passion to live create and develop.
He was more than a muse more than a mentor.
He became my purpose. I strove to be
all that he said I was capable of being.
For I longed to look into his eyes and see
the pride.
In his eyes I saw my forever.
So I honed my craft, put my all into
it so I could show him how
much I had grown.
But when I went forth to share
he was no loger around.
And he took with him my
heart, passion, fire, drive.
I long everyday for the moment
to share, to show, to give.
That day will never come and so
my quest has not been fulfilled.
And in that I find a deep emptiness.
