Push

The jail bars are bent,
From the neck up I emerge
With a smirk,
The self fulfilling prophecy
Fulfills so well,
Even from the neck down
I swell with joy,
A desired state of mind
Lived only for a short time,
But in that time I see
What possibilities could be,
My gaze locked on truth
Seeing the surface beauty
None the less enchanting me,
It’s soothing song off in the distance,
I wanna dance
Captured in its rhythm,
As it fills every pour with bliss,
I push my control emphatically
Moving closer vertically
And waiting patiently,
For a beast to lose
Its trickery,
It’s stomach is full
Yet it hunts me fully,
Will it pass me over?,
If the fear is lower,
So I’ll push to be,
Trapped on it’s hunting grounds,
Suffering for it’s insatiable needs,
My seeds have sprouted,
So I push to be free.
